Protesters in Faslane blockade

Anti-nuclear protesters have blocked two of the entrances to the Clyde naval base which provides a home to Britain's fleet of Trident nuclear submarines. The mass event at Faslane on Monday has been organised by Trident Ploughshares and Scottish CND.

National Front march in Aberdeen considered

Councillors in Aberdeen are meeting to decide if a National Front march can go ahead in the city. Aberdeen MP Malcolm Savidge has already asked for the event, which will mark St Andrew's Day, to be banned. The National Front wants to have the parade down the city's main thoroughfare, Union Street.

After heavily armed police forces have evicted the 10 year old occupied autonomously organised youth and community centre "Euskal Jai" (means something like "Basque party") last monday, the massive resistance against the attacks on the self-organised structures does not stop.
