Edinburgh-Chiapas Solidarity Group are calling for a night of solidarity, education and celebration in support of the Zapatista resistance and rebellion. The event, on 16 February, is being held in solidarity with the zapatista autonomous municipality “16th February�, which is twinned with the zapatista solidarity movement in Scotland.

On the 12th February 2005 there will be a colourful, musical procession and critical mass in Edinburgh to mark the Kyoto Protocol coming into effect. This Climate Carnival is part of the Worldwide Climate Change Action Day with actions taking place in cities around the world.
