Contractors Running Scared From M74 Protests Before They Even Happen?

Only 2 contractors have put in bids to build a large section of the M74 Extension through the southside of Glasgow. Another section has 3 contractors. The contractors are believed to be consortia led by Balfour Beatty and Sir Robert McAlpine. The 3rd consortium is led by Laing O'Rourke. £41M Spent on M74 Land Before Inquiry Reported

The Scottish Executive spent £41M buying up land to site the M74 Extension before the Public INquiry had finished.
