A high ranking retired policeman has given a signed statement to convicted "Lockerbie bomber" Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi's legal team.
The statement testifies that the CIA planted a crucial piece of evidence (the circuit board fragment) that led to Al Megrahi's conviction of the killing of 270 people on Pan-Am Flight 103 in December 1989.
