Scotland Against Criminalising Communities have expressed alarm at the arrest of three more men in the Stirling area on Monday under “anti-terrorism legislation. These arrests follow the arrest of Mohammed Atif Siddique at his family’s home in Alva on 13 April. At the time of writing Mohammed has been imprisoned without charge for 12 days.
If he had been suspected of serial murder, armed robbery, rape, or any other "non-terrorist" offence, police would have had to charge him within 36 hours or release him.
