The Rossport 5, jailed for contmept of court in Ireland after refusing to allow Shell's unsafe gas pipeline over their land were in court again the other day. They appeared for sentencing in the matter they were jailed for in 2005 (and bailed in September).
Despite not facing any further jail time, the Judge ruled they are liable for the costs incurred by Shell in it's persecution of them.
In a last-minute move, Glasgow's Trades Hall has cancelled the booked rally of asylum seekers and friends there tomorrow afternoon. Strathclyde Police appear to have had a role in the decision a No Borders activist condemned as "racist".
