The New York Times & 'Russia won the SHELL game'

The New York Times uses part of the title and information of yesterday's article on SHELL and the expat problems in their editorial 'The Kremlin’s Shell Game'. Calling a Kalashnikov to the head and heavy arms twisting by Putin's buddies: "a SHELL offer to cede control of Sakhalin-2" is raping reality and lying about facts: food and energy sources are strong geopolitical weapons of mass destruction.

G8 2007 in Germany - some information

The G8 summit 2007 will take place at the start of June in the north-east of Germany, in the luxurious Hotel Kempinski, which is situated directly at the Baltic Sea in Heiligendamm, at Bad Doberan near Rostock.

Faslane Nuclear base successfully blockaded

On Monday the 11th of December, the Faslane nuclear submarine base was succesfully blocked for 2 hours and 10 minutes. The blockade was a joint effort between a group of Trident Ploughshares and the crew from Faslane Peace camp, as a part of the Faslane 365 campain. 20 people were arrested and 3 of the blockaders have actually been summoned to court on charges of breach of the peace.

Another action in Faslane was held on Saturday the 9th of December, with 5 people being arrested; one of them was a Nobel Peace Laureate. Sunday also saw an action in Aldermaston.

21 Arrests as British Nuclear Weapon Sites Disrupted

This morning (11.12.2006) the Trident submarine base at Faslane and the atomic weapons factory at Aldermaston have both been the focus of disruption as activists blockaded entrance gates.

Glasgow Dawn Raid Protest Last Sunday

Last Sunday, 30 protesters gathered early at the gates of the Reporting Center at Brand St. The previous 2 Sundays had seen dawn raids against families in the Red Road and Kingsway areas of Glasgow. Despite one raid being thwarted, in the last fortnight 2 families and including 6 small children were torn from their communities.
