Jet With 56 Aboard Crashes in Turkey

The civil aviation authority said communication with the plane was interrupted on its final approach to Suleyman Demirel airport in Isparta at 1:45 a.m. Semsettin Uzun, the governor of Isparta, said the crash site was not on the plane's regular flight route. "It is impossible to understand how the plane" ended up there, said Uzun, who viewed the site from a helicopter. The plane had broken into pieces, with its fuselage and rear landing in different locations. Anatolia said the plane's wings and engine were at the top of a hill while the fuselage was lower. Doganer said the cause of the crash was unknown, but ruled out technical failure and said the weather and visibility were good. "The pilot saw the airport and informed the tower that it was inbound. The plane then disappeared," he said.

Shell want a tax cut

VP of Shell's North Sea division begs for tax cut. He claims: "increases in corporation tax on North Sea profits in 2002 and 2005 had exacerbated the serious challenges faced by oil and gas firms. While North Sea operators have been benefiting from record oil prices driven by buoyant demand, Gallagher said steep increases in the price of essential support services had wiped out much of the benefit." Then upgrades his neck from brass to titanium by claiming: "The yes is not from oh, here's a Shell manager and he obviously wants to cut taxes', I give you my answer more as a Scottish practising engineer"
