NO2ID ralleys in Glasgow and Edinburgh

Local parliamentarians are backing Edinburgh campaigners during the UK National Day of Action on March 26 to highlight the folly, expense and danger of the ID card scheme. The date has been chosen since it will be the first day on which - according to recently-leaked government documents - the first ID card interrogation centres will be opening their doors across the UK.

Surfers descend on beaches to back anti-oil transfer campaign

Around 160 protestors gathered at the beaches of North Berwick and around 90 at Portobello, on Edinburgh, on Saturday March 24, to demonstrate against ship-to-ship oil transfer in the Firth of Forth and to shift the powers of accountability from a private company back to public authorities.
