A view of the scenes at Edinburgh Airport last night before Kenny Richey touched down.
And now it's celebrities and eco-activism. A newspaper has herded together some "notables" and asked them to sign up to some "green" pledges. Some highlights:
Bra tycoon: "I need to fly"
Self-promoter: "Not that I actually do any of them"
Author (speaking from Sri Lanka): "I shall certainly make the characters in Scotland Street walk more"
And then the lovable ecosystem that is the newspaper commenters takes over:
* must limit population
* I won't do anything green
* "tens of thousands of scientists dispute" global warming
* the environment is important, windfarms are evil
* buy less? You're joking or crazy.
Laugh or cry, your choice.
The veteran peace campaigners Georgina Smith and Helen Jones, have been jailed for doing graffiti on the high court in Edinburgh on remembrance day last year. Georgina is the owner of Peaton Glen woods, a woodlands conservation project and base for many actions against Coulport and Faslane. They refused to pay compensation, and the Judge jailed each of them for 40 days, and fined them each £1500.
