Keep "Abu Ghraib" firm away from our census forms

A new petition has been launched calling on the Scottish Government to think again over its decision to give the job of running the next Scottish census to CACI Ltd, a UK subsidiary of a company that has been involved in interrogating prisoners at Abu Ghraib Prison in Iraq. A Call to Climate Action - KlimaX 2009

 

The first international organising meeting to discuss how the worlds social movements will respond to the UNFCC COP-15, the fifteenth UN Framework on Climate Change Conference Of Parties (30th November to 11th December 2009, in Copenhagen, Denmark) has taken place, and has released the call to action below. This summit will be the world's biggest climate change conference so far.

Opposition surrender to Evo Morales

The opposition governors of Santa Cruz, Rubén Costas, and of Tarija, Mario Cossío, have signed an agreement to begin a dialogue with the Bolivian Government in order to resolve the violent conflict that has engulfed the country, where in the last few days 30 people have died.
