In the early hours of Sunday 29th November a group of autonomous activists caused embarassment to Lord Home, exposing his role in the proposed development of Mainshill Woods into and open cast coal mine. This action was taken by a group of autonomous people in solidarity with all those who oppose the development of Mainshill Wood into an open cast coal mine.

For decades piracy has been opening up vast areas of culture previously closed off to people on lower incomes. Widely acclaimed works that form our common recent cultural heritage are available to all at almost zero cost.

 This Sunday, to coincide with the climate summit in Copenhagen the Edinburgh social centre ACE is hosting a green-o-nomics discussion event and film screening. The event is free and non ticketed 3pm sunday 6th december. ACE is located at 17 west montgomery place, near tescos on leith walk.
