Make Poverty History Radio broadcasts on 87.7 FM on 2nd of July

The Community Media Association (http://www.commedia.org.uk/) in conjunction with the Make Poverty History coalition (http://www.makepovertyhistory.org/) and Edinburgh's Telford College, ETC FM (http://www.etcfm.co.uk/) is broadcasting "Make Poverty History Radio" from Edinburgh on Saturday 2nd July. Make Poverty History Radio will be the focus of a global community media campaign to reinforce the call from activists in Edinburgh and across the world for an end to poverty and unfair trade rules. Make Poverty History Radio is a multinational collaboration of community media organisations in Scotland, the rest of the UK, Europe and Africa that are working together to send the Make Poverty History message from Edinburgh to the G8 leaders. Community radio stations in the UK and overseas have pledged to rebroadcast Make Poverty History Radio worldwide. Make Poverty History Radio is on air on 87.7FM across Edinburgh on 2nd July and will also be streamed over the Internet at http://www.makepovertyhistory.org/ Make Poverty History Radio will capture the mood and scenes from the historic rally with live reports from supporters travelling to Edinburgh by coach; vox pops from protestors arriving in the city; reports from the march itself; interviews with high-profile campaign supporters; speeches; debates on trade, aid and debt; and much more. Downloadable content will be available for retransmission and the webcast will ensure that the message from the Make Poverty History rally spreads from Edinburgh to the rest of the world.
