UPDATE: "Where is OUR Bailout?" Protest 24th Oct.

An act of mass public expression against the deepening economic crisis, dodgy bailout, and the severe lack of economic assistance for ordinary people, is set to happen in Edinburgh City Centre at 5pm on Friday 24th of October.

People before Profit Protest 31st Oct.

Around 100 students from across Scotland marched earlier today Friday 31 October from Edinburgh University to the HBOS Headquarters. As the workers on the scaffolding - on the corner of George IV Bridge and the Royal Mile -  banged their scaffolding in support the cry went up 'the workers united will never be defeated'.

In addition to student speakers there was a warm reception for speakers from the pensioners convention, unison and the campaign set-up against the attack on home care.

Thats interesting. A friend of mine who attended the event said that only 30 people made it for the SWP bank protest on friday 31st, and that they were all SWP.

Theres a scientific formula you can apply when figuring out numbers of people on SWP marches.

(SWP number + Police Number)/2=real number

Therefore

(100+0)/2=50

I therefore estimate there were 50 people on this march. Although an actual source saying 30 is maybe more reliable...
