Police begin "green scare" in UK

The National Extremist Tactical Coordination Unit begin a "green scare" campaign. They appear to be deliberately misrepresenting many radical greens.

NETCU say "We have found statements that four-fifths of the human population has to die for other species in the world to survive". The article worryingly conflates primitivism with radical green direct action.

But they obviouslty didnt get the sharpest tool in the box to be the NETCU spokesperson: "They are doing research of possible targets, looking at shareholders and financiers. For example, they could research an airline and see how many of its aircraft are not environmentally friendly".

There's probably more out there. The Ian Bone pieces are the most interesting, IMO, for noting that the Observer / Guardian have got "form" for this kind of thing.

There's some of the above links, plus the newspaper's reaction to complaints (article 'withdrawn') and links to security resources, all at http://earthfirst.org.uk/actionreports/node/21769
