THIS SATURDAY
Buchanan Street Galleries, Glasgow
- Please stop the genocide of Tamils in their home land by Sri Lankan state! The time is running out!!
- Let us stand up for the helpless people and their human rights!!
- Let us stop the modern day genocide of the 21st century!!
Please come on Saturday to help us protest on 21/03/08 from 12 noon to 5pm at the Buchanan Street which is front of the Buchanan Galleries. Bring your family and friends to help show support for the suffering of the Tamils in Sri Lanka.
Why we are protesting:
- Nearly 350,000 civilians are daily suffering from serious bombardment, shelling and starvation
- Food and medicine used as weapons of war;
- Artillery shells kill children and women every hour;
- International media and aid agencies are prohibited from these zones;
- Sri Lanka ranks in the top 8 nations as where genocide is taking place as per the New York-based Genocide Prevention Project.
We are protesting to ask the politicians and the UK government to stop the genocide of Tamils by the Sri Lankan government and the Sri Lankan army forces. In North part of Sri Lanka which is called the Vanni region, there are more than 350,000 Tamil people, they are seriously suffering from enormous human rights violation, displacement, bombing, shelling and disappearances.
