Tuesday 29th November - Benefit gig - Glasgow Campaign to Welcome Refugees and The Arches presents Mogwai and The Hugh Reed Explosion 2005 .Tickets £10.00 in advance Available from the Arches ticket office and website.
Wednesday 30th November
People from the Glasgow No Borders network will be at a meeting in the Saorsa Centre to discuss
strategy and future plans to help asylum seekers in Glasgow. 7.30pm. Issues likely to be discussed include future actions and protests at the Brand Street Immigration Centre; the privatisation of asylum seeker accommodation and how we can provide practical support and mutual aid for the asylum seeker community in Glasgow.

The three people arrested after the gates at Brand Street were padlocked shut and barricaded on Monday last week, spent 30 hours in police custody, and were eventually bailed, with a court date set for 16 January 2006. Please put that date in your diary and try to come down to support them.

ZAPATISTA SOLIDARITY films and Mexican food
Sunday 11th December 6pm Soarsa Centre.
The Glasgow Zapatista Group will be screening two films "The struggle for Water" and "KIPTIK WATER SYSTEM: Emiliano Zapata + slide shows"
This is to highlight part of the indigenous struggle and the importance of international solidarity action. A discussion will follow on
Scotland's Twinned Autonomous Municipality "16th Febuary" and the progress of the much needed health clinic in that region.
Everyone is welcome to come along chat and enjoy some mexican food, on Sunday 11th December 6pm at the Soarsa Centre.

Tuesdays: 7.30pm Reshape Glasgow - set up to protest against the G8 but now campaigning against globalisation, corporations, etc
Wednesdays: Open platform - films, talks, social events - as and when we arrange them
Thursdays: 7.30pm G42 Collective meetings - the collective responsible for maintaining the social centre (we always need new people!)
Sundays: 5pm Sunday Social nights - bring food to share or add to the pot. An evening to chat and chill out.

* Radical poets - Anyone interested in joining a radical poetry group getting together to read and discuss poetry, have readings and so on. Contact D at the G42 Collective
* Drop in Literacy Classes - Do you have qualifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) or Adult Literacy Education? We're planning to start free, fortnightly, English Language classes in the Social Centre in the New Year and are looking for more people to help with this. Get in touch if you can help.
