Sounds boring but it's all about 'net energy'

This is a PowerPoint presentation which (hopefully) explains why we won't tackle climate change without understanding peak oil.

The energy returned from oil is falling. In the 1930s, 1 unit of energy invested in oil production resulted in 100 units out (100:1). Today some reserves are as low as 3:1. Oil production has been steady since 2005. This is a huge problem which no one is talking about.

As I'm having huge problems uploading it (it's only 5.11MB) if anyone's interested in learning more, please email me - andy.meikle@virgin.net
