Despite being bribed with free bits of cake local kids went ‘intafada’ running amok, throwing rocks and pelting revellers with water balloons at the street party at the recently refurbished ACE this Saturday. Already disgruntled at being denied access to the interior of ACE due to their not having an adult with them, things really kicked off when one kid fed a dog a cheese and onion mini pasty. The owner scolded the youngster and he marched off in the huff. The rocks were not long in coming accompanied by chants that we were all gay and a bunch of dicks etc. Water bombs caused minor collateral damage but no direct hits. A stink bomb was also produced at one stage but never deployed.
Well over one hundred people attended the otherwise thoroughly successful event over the day which went on until 8pm thanks to drink being produced at around 4pm. There was really nice vegan food, a barbecue that went ahead despite the rusty arse falling oot the thing early doors, a jewellery stall, a hat and recycled placcy bag crochet wallet / baccy pouch holderstall, a book stall, live music and a raffle. Also (loud intake of breath) several people were spotted from outwith the anarchist milieu.
