G-20 Update from St Andrews

Venue for G20 Finance Minister's meeting confirmed, while activists gear up for events.

Groups protesting the G20 Finance Minister's summit in St Andrews next week have been confirming since Friday that the venue for the summit will defenitely be the Fairmont Hotel, about an hour and a half walk outside of St Andrews. Sources inside the town indicate that the road will not have speed restrictions on it, which means the speed limit remains 60 miles per hour, until quite close to the Fairmont, at which point the speed will be capped at 30 miles per hour. Additionally a small protest pen will be set up outside the fairmont gates by the police on the two days.

Activists in St Andrews are able and willing to liaise with comerades and friends, so get in touch: naetaeg20(AT)gmail.com or keep updated at the Nae Tae G20 website.
