Activist held over book distro

An Edinburgh activist has been detained over the distribution of 'The Coming Insurrection'. The activist was intercepted when he tried to do a spontaneous book reading in Blackwells in South Bridge. The book came to the attention of the mass media recently when a fox news mouthpiece blabbed about it being a seditious and dangerous text and how we should all be burning it.

Re: Activist held over book distro

With your ref to Fox News Channel I guess you mean Glenn Beck but he explicit calls for it not to banned (or burned) but to be read (as a warning). He does hype it up though. Also I guess by spontaneous book reading one means without any pre publicity, so would the activist also have been detained if it was any book. How long was the activist detain and by who? Where they taken any where or just detained and then ejected from bookstore? Were any other activists in attendance? When was it? Do Blackwells stock the book?

More details please

Did someone really get nicked for reading a book in a bookshop...?

You can't just walk into a bookstore and start annoying other customers! The other people should be allowed to walk into a bookshop and have a quiet browse without some fruit cake ruining it for them.

I like coffee and fruit cake and books being read in book shops. I was going to say "it's not a library" but there's nothing wrong with it there either.
