Independant candidate in Aberdeen South fights for justice in sexual abuzse case
Social campaigner and investigator Rob Green is to stand as an Independent candidate for the Aberdeen South constituency at the forthcoming General Election
He will be running on the single issue of the Hollie Greig abuse case and the profound questions it raises about the Scottish state.
Hollie, who has Down’s Syndrome, claims she was abused from the age of six.by her father. and, later, an Aberdeen paedophile ring. Now 30, Hollie and her mother, Anne, have been campaigning since 2000 – when Hollie first plucked up the courage to confide in Anne and when police were first informed of the alleged abuse – for criminal proceedings to be taken against those she claims were involved. Hollie is considered to be a reliable witness, but they have been told there is not enough “credible” evidence to bring criminal proceedings against the people she accused.
Rob is their Lay Legal Representative and says: “The key issues are a continued refusal by Grampian police to fully investigate the overwhelming evidence for the paedophile rapes, and a wall of silence by the Scottish establishment. My only problem as an Independent candidate in Aberdeen is that, as I am personally unknown, and standing on as hot a local topic as can be imagined, it won`t be easy. However, Hollie’s case is so shocking that voters need the opportunity of deciding upon it.”

Rob will be speaking at Kirkcaldy on 26th February, Glasgow on the 27th and Aberdeen on 28th about Hollie’s case and he hopes that his public appearances will raise awareness of the issues within the electorate.
