finally found a site that gives me the time and route so I can go and show appreciation for the boys and girls of our armed forces.

This is in no way intended to be against the individuals, but against the institution as a whole. I think it is dishonest to portray the military in such a benign manner to young people. I will not be there being aggressive or anything but rather trying to reason and speak with people who are fond of militarism and prevent them from throwing their lives away for the states imperial interests and to line the pockets of the rich.

You may think the war in Afganistan and Iraq is pointless, you may not even call it a war but by saying these things your not just disrespecting us your disrespecting everyone who has walked in our footsteps before us, how could you? its the politicians who order us to go there we just serve our country your quarrel is with them not us we get one day a year we do not tell you to go we invite you.

Just goes to show what a petty minded person would want to demonstrate against the armed services, serving and old comrades alike, probably a spell in the forces will do him or her good and see what actual good the armed forces do. They would soon winge if their house burnt down if the fire brigade were striking and the forces were not manning the pumps, or a bridge had collapsed due to flooding, and the army did not build a temporary bridge and what about disaster relief. Would like to meet him and show him the error of his ways.

Well it sounds like some good fun sports, lots of healthy outdoor exercise, what could possibly be wrong with that ? 

And if young men decide to make a career in the forces, it's well paid, or at least paid, and the vast majority who don't die young will have a long comfortable life, with no financial worries, all found by the state. (and that's your taxes, than you;)

What have you got to offer that could possibly rival that ? 

Big fish eat little fish. It's a competitive world, some will die young and some won't, 

Shouldn't you consider supporting the troops rather than condeming them? i mean i don't agree with war but these guys are putting their lifes on the line with the intent and supposed knowledge that they are protecting OUR freedom. Whether or not that is the case is another issue. I hope their is no political party involvement in this as it doesn't look good and could be political suicide. I cannot believe anyone would show up at this parade to oppose the Armed Forces. These boys are putting their lives on the line for out country, whether you agree with them or not. It is absolutely disgusting to think that this website is trying to attract oposition to this. It's blatantly obvious that the no mark who posted this original call to protest has not lost anyone in any of the wars in which the British Army have been involved. I know you say you are not trying to upset the individual soldiers but the institution as a whole, but the soldiers do not see it this way. My husband is in the army and he tells me how upsetting it is and how demoralising it is to know that people back home are so against them. I am really disgusted by your planned demonstration. I hope that you are hounded off the streets in utter shame by the decent people who will be there to support our boys and girls who are willing to give their lives for us. You are the lowest of the low.

Can you explain how you're husband putting his life on the line is benefiting his country?

The war started as yet another in a chain of criminal attacks on Afghanistan for the purpose of illegally attempting to change their political system for western economic benefit, a chain stretching over 150 years so far. As yet it has not spread much beyond the Afghanistan people trying to defend themselves and claim their independence. If there is no opposition to the soldiers, the very men who are the war, it will just escalate and escalate. Of cause you won't see it like this if you are on the pay role of those who instigated the plot, you'll tend to side with you're boss because that is the side you're bread is buttered. 

You can't support the soldiers without supporting the war! 

Tell you're husband to do the honorable thing and desert.
