Machine Sabotaged in solidarity with The Happendon Wood Action Camp

Extensive damage has been caused to a mining machine at the Broken Cross open cast coal mine in South Lanarkshire. This action, taken during the night of third of October, was carried out anonymously by those acting in solidarity with The Happendon Wood Action Camp (THWAC), and in support of the residents of the Douglas Valley.

The sabotage was carried out as an act of opposition to Scottish Coal's recently submitted  proposals to extend the Broken Cross mine and to begin work at two new sites in the area, at Townhead and Auldton Hights.

Achieves nothing except a possible criminal record. Then you would be moaning about how you can't get a job. Oh, you do that anyway.

Should use you as sandbags in the next flood alert.

And whats all this getting a criminal record nonsense?

No-ones ever been caught, never mind convicted, for any of the acts of saboutage in South Lanarkshire, and theres been quite a few.

The next flood alert, and what causes floods, oh yes, climate chaos, and what causes that, oh yes burning dirty coal and other fossil fuels, and who's trying to stop this impending chaos, oh yes the digger divers and others prepared to take direct action.

Think through your invective before you post.

And try to post something constructive instead of workshy, moaning, soap-dodging.....(Yawn)

but then you would be glad of such people if you lived next door to a planned open cast site now wouldn't you. The people near Mainshill used the same put-downs as you initially, then they brought food, water, goodwill and other essentials to the activist camp when they saw there were people prepared to DO SOMETHING other than moan, carp and complain.
