INDEPENDENCE FIRST (www.independence1st.com) the independence referendum campaign are having what they describe as a “completely unique” ‘DEMOCRACY FOR SCOTLAND’ rally through the streets of Edinburgh on this Saturday, the 30th of September.
Independence First Press Officer JOE MIDDLETON commented “We have launched one of the fastest growing petitions through the Scottish parliament which has received more than a thousand signatures within it’s first month.“
“We have also put out ten thousand leaflets across Scotland for this completely unique rally which for the first time has united the entire independence movement under one banner calling for a democratic referendum on Scottish independence.
He added “We are also planning on reaching beyond those organisations directly to the Scottish public to motivate at least a million people to vote for independence next year. “
Neil Caple, Independence First’s Honorary Convener who will introduce the speakers and bands on the day said “This will be our first ever rally, but if Scotland doesn’t get a vote on self determination soon it definitely won’t be our last.”
