The Scottish government abolished fees so that they can practice what Ed Millaband and Ed balls will not preach, that is universal free education. Unfortunately for English, Welsh and Northern Ireland students they have to pay in their own countries, but it would be unfair if they moved to Scotland so as to claim free education. The reason being that the Scottish government does not have enough cash to abolish the fees of incoming English, Welsh and Northern Ireland students. It's got nothing to do with discrimination, it just isn't practical, and if they did abolish all fees then then this would put a strain on the whole education establishment in Scotland. It is ridiculous attacking the Scottish government, it is not their fault that the English political parties support fees, and students should be organising against the Tory/Liberal dem coallition and the labour party because they are the ones that are supporting fees. Why attack the Scottish government. Under limited resources they are trying their best to introduce free education. If they had independence and access to all oil revenues and corporate taxes then maybe they could introduce universal free education for all, including English, Welsh and Northern Irish. And to add to this discussion if a Scottish student went to English university, they too would have to pay, is that fair? By attacking the Scottish government you are actually assisting the hyprocrites in the Coalition and Labour opposition.  Although that is not you intention and you protest out of the best of motives I think you are wrong.
