On Saturday 25th of November members of Scotland's Irish community joined the STUC (Scottish Trade Unions Council) anti-Racism march through Glasgow-BBC Scotland carried no coverage of their participation

Despite being one of the largest ethnic minorities present on the STUC's "Love Scotland: Hate Racism" march held in Glasgow, Scotland the BBC did not cover their participation in subsequent new reports. Members of Glasgow's Irish community have said that this stance is similar to STV's refusal to apologise for Gerry McNee's racist outburst on the football programme "ScotSport".
Despite the threat of continued inclement weather an estimated 1,500 people gathered in Blythswood Square for a parade that took them down into the heart of Glasgow, around George Square then up Sauchiehall Street to the ABC venue for a rally and concert.
No trouble occured on the parade or after it, although several shoppers appeared annoyed at the incovenience.
Despite the large number of Irish groups on the parade and a large number of Irish tri-color-carrying participants none of the BBC's coverage of the parade showed any evidence of this. One participant on the parade said "it is shocking and shows just how entrenched anti-Irish views are within Scottish society-even within the supposeldy liberal and tolerant media. It is ironic that this march is against all forms of racism yet the BBC did not see fit to cover the participation of Scotland's oldest and largest ethnic group."
