What do you think of the G8 summit?
Bryant Dunnet, Pleasance: It’s positive for Edinburgh but I don’t like the fact that the city has to pay for it."
Siobhan Canavan, Tollcross: "I don’t like what they do because they don’t listen to the poor nations. They should go somewhere else."
John Rifferty, Leith: "I think it’s going to help Scotland despite the expenses coming from the Scottish budget. The money should come from the UK budget instead of the Scottish."
Giuseppe Albano, New Town: "Any publicity for Scotland is good and I hope it is also good for the world. It is a good thing if it’s not self -congratulating."
Dani Maupin, Dalkeith Road: "I’m for the G8 summit even though I think they won’t change anything. But I guess, it is better they take the trouble to meet and speak about poverty than not doing anything."
Iona Smith, Leith Walk: "I think it is positive for the world. The good side of it is that the media is talking about it all the time. It’s a way for people to get informed about world issues."
